My focus is on applying geometric methods of mechanics & dynamics to
simulation of virtual characters, creatures and cybernetic systems.
Classical Mechanics, the mathematical analysis of physical motion, comes from
Newton’s Laws via the variational approaches of Lagrange & Hamilton.
Dynamics is a more general discipline covering system control & behaviour.
It deals with motors & sensors and their interconnection into feedback loops.
Computational Dynamics
is the computer-based analysis dynamical systems
involving algorithm development and numerical methods.
